Role Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and organized Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. The Volunteer Coordinator will be responsible for recruiting, organizing, and supporting volunteers, connecting them with community groups and schools, and ensuring the success of our volunteer programs. This role is crucial in fostering a strong community of volunteers dedicated to our mission of protecting water quality. This is a part time, volunteer role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruit, interview, and onboard new volunteers.
- Develop and implement volunteer programs and initiatives.
- Identify and establish relationships with community groups, schools, and other organizations for volunteer involvement.
- Schedule and coordinate volunteer activities and events.
- Provide ongoing support, training, and resources to volunteers.
- Facilitate communication between volunteers and the Digital Waters team.
- Visit onsite group events to support and engage with volunteers and community partners.
- Maintain accurate records of volunteer activities and hours.
- Evaluate and provide feedback on volunteer programs to improve effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- Passion for environmental conservation and community engagement.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience in volunteer coordination or related fields is a plus.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in using volunteer management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Flexibility to attend events and activities outside of regular office hours as needed.
