Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team at Digital Waters. The HR Manager will play a crucial role in recruiting salaried staff, supporting our volunteer coordinator in integrating staff into public events, and performing a wide range of HR duties. This position requires a dynamic individual with strong interpersonal skills and a passion for our mission. This is a part time, volunteer role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment and Onboarding:
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract top talent for salaried positions.
- Conduct interviews, evaluate candidates, and make hiring recommendations.
- Oversee the onboarding process to ensure new employees are integrated smoothly and effectively into the organization.
- Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
- Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and effective manner.
- Develop and implement employee engagement programs to enhance job satisfaction and retention.
- Collaboration with Volunteer Coordinator:
- Work closely with the Volunteer Coordinator to involve salaried staff in public events and community outreach.
- Coordinate staff participation in events based on preferences and availability, ensuring a balance between work responsibilities and community engagement.
- Performance Management:
- Develop and implement performance evaluation processes.
- Provide coaching and support to employees to help them achieve their professional goals.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and address any performance-related issues.
- Compliance and Policy Development:
- Ensure compliance with all relevant labor laws and regulations.
- Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and organizational needs.
- Manage employee records and ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
- Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional development opportunities for staff.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources management.
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Passion for environmental conservation and community engagement is a plus.
