Job Description:

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience with Raspberry Pi and its peripheral sensors, particularly cameras. The role requires proficiency in Python, familiarity with Git, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause while working with cutting-edge technology in a supportive and dynamic environment. This is a part time, volunteer role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain electrical systems and components for water monitoring devices.
  • Integrate and troubleshoot Raspberry Pi with various sensors, including cameras.
  • Write and optimize Python code for data collection and processing.
  • Collaborate with the software development team to ensure seamless integration of hardware and software.
  • Maintain and manage code repositories using Git.
  • Document designs, experiments, and test results.
  • Participate in regular team meetings and contribute to project planning and strategy.

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Raspberry Pi and its peripheral sensors, especially cameras.
  • Proficiency in Python programming.
  • Familiarity with Git for version control.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A strong portfolio of relevant projects on GitHub, especially for candidates without formal experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with water monitoring technologies or environmental sensors.
  • Knowledge of other programming languages and tools relevant to hardware integration.
